22. Mother

Because step mothers, foster mother and adoptive mothers are important too. ;o

I chose a cuckoo (with reed warbler "parent") as they are the most well known brood parasites, though I probably should have chosen something else with a better stock photo for reference. I clearly need to work on "filling in the gaps" where the reference is lacking. In this case, the feathers...

But hey, it's the third bird picture that has cropped up in my 100 themes so far. I'm not sure they should be getting progressively worse, though...
